Refund Policy

At Raise the Reel, we are committed to providing a transparent and rewarding experience for our backers, voters, and filmmakers. By participating in our crowdfunding campaigns or contests, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms regarding refunds:

Supported Projects: All contributions made through Raise the Reel are considered final once the transaction is completed. The funds pledged by supporters are allocated to the specific film project they select.

Charity Contribution: As part of our commitment to making a positive impact, 10% of each transaction is donated to charity. This portion of your contribution is non-refundable.

Project Commitment: By backing a project, you understand that your financial support helps fund the production of that film. Contributions may be used for various production-related expenses and help bring creative stories to life.

Refunds: Refunds are only granted in the event that the film project you supported does not proceed to production. If a refund is approved, it will be issued minus any payment processing fees and the charitable donation.

Paid Votes: All vote purchases made as part of Raise the Reel contests are non-refundable. These vote contributions help support the contestant of your choice and fund charitable and creative efforts. Because votes are processed immediately and contribute to contest outcomes, they cannot be canceled, changed, or refunded.

Opportunity to Participate: In appreciation of your support, you may receive various perks, including opportunities to be part of the film, exclusive merchandise, or other benefits outlined in each project’s campaign. All perks are subject to the terms set by individual filmmakers, and we encourage you to review these before contributing.

Exceptional Circumstances: If you believe your situation warrants special consideration, please reach out to our support team. While refunds are generally not issued outside the terms above, we will review each request on a case-by-case basis. Approval remains at our sole discretion.

By contributing to a project or participating in a contest on Raise the Reel, you agree to this refund policy and the terms set forth herein. Thank you for supporting independent filmmakers and being part of the movie-making journey!
